Amazonia are so excited to see more and more people hopping onto the acai train. We love this recipe from our friends at over at Lorna Jane's Move Nourish Believe HQ in their article The Art of Acai and want to share a snippet with you:

There are few things in life that make our insides smile quite like a big old bowl of breakfast – and I don’t just mean upon rising! Breakfast is one of those things that is appealing from am to pm, and in our eyes, anytime is breakfast time... And the one breakfast we can NEVER go past is an acai bowl. What’s not to love? They’re fruity, they’re fresh and these antioxidant rich little berry bowls never fail to put a HUGE toothy smile on our dial.

BOUNTY BEAUTIFUL ACAI BOWL

YOU’LL NEED:

2 x sachets of Amazonia Pure Acai frozen packs 

½ a frozen banana

100ml unsweetened almond milk

½ cup coconut meat

1 tbsp cacao powder

2 tbsp date syrup or 1 fresh pitted medjool date

HOW TO:

Blend together the acai pulp, frozen banana, almond milk, coconut meat, cacao powder, and dates in a high speed blender until the consistency is smooth.

Place acai mixture into a medium bowl and top with granola of choice, seasonal fruit and shredded coconut.

SUGGESTED TOPPINGS:

Granola – approx. ½ cup

Seasonal fruit – sliced

Shredded coconut – approx. 1 tbsp
